Erin Como is an Italian American who firmly believes food is the universal language of love and that a good meal can bring people together. She’s had a successful career over the past 20 years in media as an Emmy nominated anchor, host, and producer covering everything from traffic to news, entertainment, lifestyle trends, travel and of her passion of all things food related.

 

Prior to covering the DC food scene, Erin spent three years living in Nashville when she moved there for a job in local news. Away from her family for the first time, and missing Sunday dinners - Erin and her friends created a family style dinner night where they all took turns cooking. They lovingly referred to those meals as Famiglia night – Experiencing those evenings is when Erin fully realized the power of sharing a home cooked meal. 

 

Erin currently co-hosts the show LION Lunch Hour on FOX 5 in DC. Throughout her career she’s had the pleasure of working with industry superstars from Martha Stewart to Jose Andres while even joining incredibly talented chefs in the kitchen from Gordon Ramsay to Wolfgang Puck! She loves the incredibly diverse food scene in the District and is a go to tastemaker for where to dine and what to order around the city.
