Serves: 2–3 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 12 min
Ingredients
● 1 large sweet potato
● 1–2 tbsp olive oil
● 1–2 tsp smoked paprika
● 1–2 tsp onion powder
● 1–2 tsp garlic salt
● 1–2 tsp salt and pepper (to taste)
Directions
- Rinse and dry the sweet potato thoroughly.
- Peel the skin, then slice the potato in half lengthwise.
- Cut each half into long, even strips (aim for uniform thickness so they cook evenly).
- Add the strips to a mixing bowl and coat evenly with olive oil.
- Sprinkle in smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Toss well until every fry is seasoned.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
- Add the fries in a single layer and cook for 12 minutes, shaking halfway through for even crispiness.
- Remove and serve hot- they’re best right out of the fryer!
Erin’s Tip: I always “eye” my seasonings…trust your instincts! A generous sprinkle of each gives the fries that perfect smoky/salty flavor. Serve with a dip like chipotle mayo or honey mustard for extra yum
